Digital literacy for the marginalized communities

Improving educational outcomes for the underprivileged

The problem is, not everyone has a clear path.

Many students lack access: to resources, to mentors, to career building opportunities. In other words, instead of strolling along pathways to opportunity, they’re staring down obstacles.

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our mission is to transform grassroots education by equipping underprivileged children (10+2) with recognized digital literacy skills for enhanced employability. In collaboration with registered digital literacy centers, we empower young minds for a brighter future through courses like ACC, BCC, CCC, CCC+, and ECC. These courses are aligned with mainstream education, guided by NIELIT principles, and adhere to NSQF standards recognized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

Digital literacy can help the poor come out of poverty in several ways:

1. Improved employability: Digital skills are increasingly in demand, and having them can make individuals more attractive to potential employers, leading to better job opportunities and higher earning potential.
2. Access to online job platforms: Digital literacy enables individuals to access online job platforms, freelance work, and remote employment opportunities, expanding their job search beyond traditional channels.
3. Entrepreneurial opportunities: Digital literacy can empower individuals to start their own online businesses, sell products or services, and access digital marketplaces, creating new income streams.

4. Financial inclusion: Digital literacy can help individuals access digital banking, mobile payments, and other financial services, making it easier to manage finances, save, and access credit.

5. Access to information and resources: Digital literacy enables individuals to access a wealth of information, educational resources, and online training, helping them acquire new skills and knowledge.

6. Increased economic opportunities: Digital literacy can help individuals participate in the digital economy, access government services, and take advantage of online marketplaces, leading to increased economic opportunities.

By acquiring digital literacy skills, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds can bridge the gap between their current situation and better economic prospects, ultimately helping them break the cycle of poverty.

ASG hope and Heal foundation helps bridge the digital divide and empower underprivileged children with the skills they need to improve their socio-economic prospects.
